Can I switch from automatic to manual driving lessons after purchasing a package at Beachside Driving?

Yes, you can switch from automatic to manual driving lessons even after you have started your package. At Beachside Driving, we offer flexible packages that cater to your evolving needs. If you purchase a 5 or 10-lesson package, you have the option to switch halfway through. Our vehicles are equipped with Triptronic systems, which allow for a smooth transition from automatic to manual driving. This way, we can ease you into manual driving while ensuring you're comfortable and confident behind the wheel. Whether you start with automatic or decide to switch to manual, our goal remains the same: to help you develop safe, responsible, and prepared driving habits.
Why does Beachside Driving require me to take a driving lesson before I can schedule a pretest lesson and Practical Test?

At Beachside Driving, your safety and success are our top priorities. We have a policy that if we haven't seen you drive, we don't just do a pretest lesson and Practical Test. Joanne has been teaching students to drive for over 8 years. She has 40 years of driving experience. And enjoys all the challenges that come with teaching a new student. Anyone can drive straight its the manoevures that require specific training and helpful details.
What are the steps and requirements for booking and taking a driving test with Beachside Driving?

Firstly, you must book your driving test online through the official Transport and Main Roads (TMR) website at TMR.QLD.GOV.AU. It's mandatory to have completed your Hazard Perception Test before booking your driving test. Once you have your test booked, you must arrive at the test location 20 minutes prior to your scheduled test time. Ensure that your car is in a roadworthy condition. If you prefer to use us test day call ahead to make sure we are available. Beachside Driving offers a comprehensive package that includes a vehicle for your test along with a one-hour lesson designed to calm your nerves. After the lesson, you will arrive as required and proceed to take your driving test. Our goal at Beachside Driving is to ensure you are a prepared, responsible, and safe driver. its a costly exercise if you fail the day of your test! Be sure you have all the required skills.
